This phone is totally different then the iPhone. But if you want to go that route then the iPhone is just a copy of the HTC Herald (att 8525) but the 8525 had 3G on its first implementation and came out before the iPhone + HTC didnt make you pay twice for the same product to get the 3g.

this is true, and its always the case that when someone copies something, said product is usually worse than the original. Apple does make nice stuff, thats why I love them.
copy cat products are always uglier, made for ugly people I guess ;)

make people buy? lol specify please. what other phone came out before iphone that introduced a MT screen interface? If apple didnt do it first they were atleast successful, and then everyone else just follows suit as usual. people aren't creative or original these days but are always trying to steal away the credit from those who are.

On the iPhone, you can't add any memory. And there' a 100 dollar difference in price between 8 and 16gb iphones. I think it's a lot easier to have an SD card. It's removable, so if you break your phone or something, you can easily transfer all your saved pictures, songs, whatever, to a new device with no trouble.
There's supposed to be an update soon the allows the G1 to accept up to 32gb micro sd cards. And there are adapters, so you can use the same card for your camera or Wii or whatever

I have xpress music nokia and it is much better 100 times than this gay g1 phone .I hate it i bought a g1 phone then returned it back after 3 days first it is big in size second it is not reliable where is is going to take you up to 3 minutes to find ur contact in the phone book third i could not figure out how to save a contact on it .Bull shit phone get some life and but the skinny xpress muisic nokia phone it is much better

yea, the apple things is actually 50/50. Apple made the first touch screen phone in the 80's. Yet, it was a mere business office phone. In Addition, apple wasn't the first to implement the touch screen. Apple did what others did not. Advertise to the pits of hell. Now apple takes the credit of creating the best designed touch phone while umm others fail. O well, i don't care much because phones are phones.
