(needed to say again because its true) John and Sarah needed to destroy the "chip" and that T-800 arm. They destroyed them, and also "the terminator" to prevent what the know would happen in the future which is all great, but what about when the T-800 was fighting the T-1000 in the steel works and its arm got severed off by the giant gear!? They didnt destroy that so doesnt that defeat the purpose of them saving the future?

Firstly, it is not a robot, it is a cyborg. And, also, refering to tou saying that the arm is just "a piece of metal", why would John, sarah and Dyson go out of there way to destroy the other t-800 arm that was in the labratory, with the chip. They clearly stated how they needed to destroy anything related to skynet and the terminator. The arm is realted and, if undestroyed, could be dangerous for the future so RoChede, you are wrong

Opinions are like asses.Each one has one.
Again, for me, the chip was the only priority, cause destroying it would make Skynet impossible to exist (that's what they believe).
So the old arm, the new arm or all the metal parts falling apart from the T-800 after his fights with t-1000 are just details, makes no diffence.
When Arnold says "it's not over...there is one more CHIP", that looks clear to me.
And the only guy who can say I am right or wrong is James Cameron.
