I can empathize with you. I hear the same friggin' songs every work day. Those corporations have no clue or don't give a damn about the psychological repercussions of the same disk of 9, 10 songs playing everyday. How hard is it to change the broadcast every few days, or at least every month. I think it's a good soul version, but even some of the greatest songs will sound annoying after a while.

I was 7 years old when the original by The Doors came out. Loved this song as a kid, but I really love Jose's cover, more than The Doors original. Most covers suck, but this one rocks! In my humble opinion, it's one of the best ever.

Whether Jose's version is better then the original is irrelevant.
If an artist takes a song and re-invents it is what is important. Jose has done this. Nobody plays and sings this song like him. It is unique and he makes the song his own. He puts himself into the song and does more then just sing it.
Jose is a true artist and one of the world's best singers and guitarists in the world. He is FANTASTIC!

I love Doors!!! :o) and in my opinion i dont think that he ruined a Doors music!! I think he reinvented in his way, in a diferent version... and for say the truth is awsome! Jose Feliciano is a great artist!!
