LMAO, why are you focussing on just SEX? Sex is sex whether a couple is married or not. Marriage is a sociological institution. charlotteamalie, the dynamic between Maria & Onasis, was that she wanted to subjugate herself to a powerful man of stature & influence. He, in turn, was an extremely arrogant man who loved the idea & the reality of complete control & dominance. He had a distorted view that his power was centred around his member, since he was obsessed with his masculinity. I think she was genuinely in love. He, however, only wanted the newest world famous icon as a reflection of his power. He only loved himself.

I totally agree with you. Ari was in love with himself. But he really was a sick puppy given the huge number of women he slept with just to have a conquest. Poor Maria divorced her older husband and in the end, had no man at her side because Ari left her for Jackie and then died and ironically, the older man she married outlived even Madame Callas herself. In this video, Callas looks jaded, tired and worn out by a life with no purpose.

charlotte, I think you hit the nail on the head. It was never about love, relationship, or even sex particularly with Onassis. It was all about conquest & the hunt. Once a woman 'surrendered' herself to him, for him it was job done. An insight into his true character can be had from two events. He told Callas that she was just someone with a whistle in her throat that no longer worked. Which was savage. He had stools on his yacht skinned in whale foreskin.
