the last time we did the "duck and cover", i was in 7th grade in NJ. So it was 1966/67. So during the drill we'd run out of the classroom, run to our lockers, grab our coats & duck n cover. I had to run so far to get to my locker, i'd be toast before getting under my coat.

I personally believe that this film was made to reasure the citizens. I don't beleive that one person of the civil defence service belived that the duck and cover system would actually save your life in the event of close nuclear reaction
