however, here's my view on the whole situation.
axl, however a great singer, was a control freak. you said it yourself. slash and duff didnt even want to play on those two songs. axl forsed them to.
in addition, he would show up to concerts hours late, and a few riots were spawned as a result.
the current gnr lineup is BS, if you ask me. it doesnt sound anything like what it used too.

I would say STP> GNR > Velvet Revolver personally but yeah =P Scott is still one of my favorite vocalists ever, Both he and Axl are two of the most amazing singers and talented people all around you could ever meet
