Well, that makes my day that you liked it. I have heard very few of the dozens of versions, vocal and instrumental that have been recorded. However, I can say that I like this version very much.

I have a recording of her singing this, which is essentially the same arrangement minus the orchestra. Hers was the first version I heard of this song, which may have been a mistake, as all subsequent versions I have heard never really had a chance :)

This is what you call a remix, I guess, done in the 90's. Record companies do this to try and spark new interest. I can understand why you prefer the original, which I never heard.
