Dude, wrong Frankie -- Frankie Avalon sang "Beauty School Dropout". Frankie Valli was indeed the singer behind the theme song to Grease, though you're right in thinking the Bee Gees wrote the song. Though it was probably written much later than 1975 -- maybe 1977 or whenever the songs not original to the Broadway musical were written for the movie adaptation. Probably 1977, though, since they must have been fresh off the success from their *other* Robert Stigwood collaboration, SNF.

Robert Stigwood and the other bloke who wrote it are Aussies. They do a bit of writing for the BeeGees as well. Probably the last bit of genuine talent to come out of this ruined country. You are write though, the BeeGees sang this song first
